PHILOSOPHY
Miranda’s teaching philosophy is to allow everyone the opportunity to enjoy making music and experience how it can transform their lives. Music lessons can improve learning skills in other areas, it can relieve stress, or become a young child's career path one day. Miranda understands that each student is different, and she approaches each lesson based on the student's interest as well as their specific learning process.
Students will be taught with a set of lesson books, supplemented by theory, improvisation, ear training, and additional repertoire of their choice. Recitals are offered a few times a year in order to provide the opportunity to perform in front of others. This not only provides an opportunity to appreciate the music and hard work of others but it can also allow families to realize what is possible with consistent practice at home.
